Hey howdy hey! Been a bit of time since I have written anything, but there has not in my mind really been too much worth writing. However, a week from this Monday, THAT WILL BE CHANGING! That would be when I go off to Las Vegas. I've had people ask me what I think about it and if I'm looking forward to it. Truth is that it is bittersweet. On one hand I'm so very scared of what I'm going into and what may happen. On the other hand, I can't wait and am so looking forward o this new adventure of mine.

Let me see, besides that, my youngest bro Chris has a birthday party today. His birthday was actually last Monday, but mom and dad had his party this weekend. It was simple, but I think he really enjoyed it. He had like three friends and they went bowling and then had pizza and cake.

Also this last week I saw my Uncle Ralph and Aunt Gloria. It had been a while since the last time, but I really enjoyed my evening with them and am very happy I took the time out for that.

This next week should prove to be crazy, but the week after may hold a day or two to relax! But then again, I may not really know much about that again for a while, time will tell.

The following is a chain mail thingy my mom sent me. I'm not always the biggest into such things even if they do have good messages. However, I really like this one, so decided that instead of sending it out and hoping I send it to people who want it, I'd just post it here and let those who wish to read it take a look. If you don't care, well all the normal comings and goings stuff is written for this blog, so see ya next time! But if you do wish to read it, I suggest reading it and then thinking about it a little. How much we as civilized men seem to not take moments to just ponder anymore!




What a difference a sad event makes, GEORGE CARLIN (His wife recently died...)

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray to seldom.
